Benefiting from natural resources

Executive site: High Shouf (Jbaa, Mrusti, Khreibeh, Baadaran, Botmeh and Maasser Al Shouf).

Main objective:
Benefiting from natural resources by increasing the income level.

Specific objectives:
- Eco-Tourism: Developing infrastructures by rehabilitation guesthouses.
- Rural Development: Preserving and developing the traditional and rural products.
- Capacity building of local community (eco-Tourism, rural development and environmental awareness)
- Promoting the guesthouses, rural products, natural and cultural heritage that exist in the Shouf Region.

Activities:
Eco-Tourism:
- Rehabilitation of two guesthouses in Maasser Al-Shouf and Khreibeh.
- Organizing a workshop for 30 young people from the 6 villages that participating in the project about Eco-Tourism Guidness and Guest Houses Management.

Rural Development:
- Organizing different workshops for women from the 6 villages that participating in the project about the food production, packaging, promoting, food safety and others
- Rehabilitation of two Atelier for women in Baadaran and Jbaa equipped with the necessary materials

Marketing of the project:
- Produce promoting materials (Eco Guide for promoting guesthouses, natural and cultural heritages that exist in the adjacent villages of the Reserve (western side), textile bags, Stickers and others).
- Organize a festival and environmental exhibition to market the project.
- Organize a trip for Eco-Tour Operators to introduce them to the project.
- Hold different lectures in schools in the high Shouf region to introduce them to about the project.
