Objectives and Activities:
Enhanced capacities of the biosphere administration to enforce regulations
 • Intensify patrols and control activities
 • Build capacity of rangers
 • Improve existing forms
Recovery of revenues of people living in the transition area of the Shouf Biosphere Reserve
 • Develop and complete Marketing and business plan
 • Equip three ateliers with light equipment
 • Training based on marketing and business plans
 • Study tour to one of the Reserve Management team accompanied by partner from Fair Trade Lebanon to South Africa
 • Inviting Fair Trade Jordan to build capacity in Lebanon
 • Certifying the products and packaging them
Strengthening eco-tourism
 • Develop an ecotourism strategy and action plan
 • Establish ecotourism infrastructure (camping ground)
 • Carry out training (depending on strategy)
Project management and dissemination of results
 • Conduct launching and closing meetings of the project
 • Monitor and evaluate the project
 • Provide staff for project management
 • Produce and disseminate communication materials
