The natural cedar reserve of Chouf is a peace of heaven in lebanon, we have to protect it

The Cedar of Lebanon is the national emblem of Lebanon and it's in the middle of the Lebanese flag.
The Cedars have always been known throughout the centuries and they have been exported all over the world to be used in the construction of temples, castle,… The Cedar is mentioned 75 times in the Bible.

The Cedars of Lebanon are known as the Cedars of God for the trees spread their branches toward the sky.
A lot of wild flowers grow in the shade under the large tree trunks.

Al Shouf Cedar is 50Km from Beirut .
It's a natural reserve and it contains various species of birds, plants and animals. There are cedar trees that are 3000 years old.
Lamartine, the French poet, was a great admirer of the Shouf Cedar trees and he used to visit the forest. Therefore a huge tree is called by his name.
Thanks.

My Heart is overflowing with Joy. I just saw the Shouf Cedar Reserve site. I am so proud of everyone that is striving to preserve the Historic History of the Cedars in the Shouf. I am from the USA and visited the Cedars many years ago. I am anxiously looking forward to the day that I am able to return.

We recently visited the Barouk cedars...and I am absolutely overwhelmed with what we saw/felt/smelled among the trees that you are preserving. Good luck with your important work...which seems to carry on, irrespective of the ongoing political situation - your work brings hope to those who are lucky to see the Barouk Cedars.
